Prosthetics is an Allied Health profession that includes the design, development, manufacturing, fitting and alignment of Prostheses (Artificial Limbs), which are utilized as replacement limbs or part thereof (upper and lower limbs).
Prostheses are prescribed following amputation and for congenital limb deficiencies to aid in mobility (standing, walking and transferring) as well as for restoring upper limb function and cosmetic purposes.
Prostek provides a professional clinical service in the assessment, prescription, fabrication, fitting and review of custom made and prefabricated orthoses.
