The NDIS is Australia’s scheme for the funding of support and equipment required by people living with disabilities. 

As an orthotic and prosthetic provider for the NDIS, we can assist and support eligible participants in achieving their functional and lifestyle goals.

Our experienced Prostek clinicians can guide you through the registration process and are there to discuss your personal goals and expectations. They will work with you to develop a treatment plan and discuss your equipment requirements to help you achieve these goals.

Australian residents up to the age of 65 years of age with significant and permanent disabilities can become ‘participants’ once they have completed the application process.  This includes most amputees and clients with musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.

Yes, Prostek is a registered NDIS provider and has been since 2013. If you have previously received services at Prostek, you are able to continue to receive the same high quality services using the new funding arrangements. New clients who are NDIS ‘Participants’ are welcome and are able to access our services.

Prostek is involved in the rehabilitation of clients post injury and post-surgery.

Prosthetic and Orthotic devices give support, stability and function to assist healing to enable people to return to mobility and activity. Our clinicians work with other health professionals in hospital and outpatient rehabilitation teams, to provide prosthetic and orthotic care that maximises client rehabilitation outcomes.

Orthotics: Orthotic supports and braces are often fitted post injury or surgery to provide support to body parts and joints to allow healing to occur, while allowing safe rehabilitation and return to function.

Prosthetics: When providing prosthetic treatment, we aim to give our amputee clients every opportunity to reach their rehabilitation goals. Whether the goal is stand, walk, return to work or even participate in sports, it is our role to assist patients to achieve successful outcomes to improve their lives.

Prostek is South Australia’s largest, private Clinical Orthotic and Prosthetic service provider. We are made up of a team of Clinicians (Prosthetists & Orthotists), Technicians and Administrative staff.
