Prosthetics Overview


Prosthetics is an allied health care medical profession or field that is concerned with the design, development, manufacturing, fitting and alignment of Prostheses (Artificial Limbs), which are utilized as replacement limbs or part thereof (upper and lower limbs). Prostheses are prescribed following amputation and for congenital limb deficiencies to aid in mobility (standing, walking and transferring) as well as for cosmetic purposes.

Prostek provides a professional clinical service in the assessment, prescription, fabrication, fitting, alignment and review of Prosthetic limbs for amputations including:
